BE AWARE AND TAKE ACTION!
Gender-based violence is a harmful act that is perpetrated against a person’s will and is based on socially ascribed differences between males and females. So, as a person, we have to respect every individual—no matter their identities—everyone has struggles and we all deserve to be respected as human beings.
STOP violence
against all gender 🤚🏼!
Gender-based violence is a universal problem, and the solution to this problem requires all of us, men and women, to work together. Today, we will take part in raising awareness about violence against women and addressing the issue.
A global surge in
violence against women and girls has occurred against the backdrop of the
coronavirus disease (CoVid-19).
In the
Philippines, women and girls face an increased risk of gender-based violence—more
so than the global average. Lockdown and quarantine measures have caged these
victims at their own homes, leaving them more isolated and vulnerable to
oppressors.
As health systems
continuously grapple in stopping the spread of the unprecedented CoVid-19, the
ongoing epidemic of violence against women and girls shouldn't be ignored.
We need you in this mission as we battle one of the world’s greatest social issues. As we dive deep into the heart of the darkest trench, let us open ourselves because we are about to make a difference.
Violence has no
place in our society. Discrimination, prejudice, stigma - these are all forms of
violence. And these forms of violence usually threaten the safety and the lives
of the members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
